Nearly everything we've discussed in my fiction class feels uniquely pertinent, and I feel like I've integrated these insights thoroughly: my writing already feels stronger. My sense of scene and pacing has improved--what initially felt like my weakness has now been described as a natural strength. (The Scene Book by Sandra Scofield has been a great text.)
Last night I spend 5-6 hours with 750 words. Those are expensive words, but I'm decently happy with them. (For now. :))
My craft is improving while a comfortable and more effective process is emerging.
